Endodontic Treatment Of Immature Permanent Teeth

Endodontic Treatment Of Immature Permanent Teeth

The immature permanent tooth presents 2 major anatomical challenges:

  1. Thin dentinal walls
  2. A wide-open apex

How can these cases be managed: is an endodontic treatment indicated, and if so what would be the ideal treatment? Does the vitality of the pulp matter? Is partial pulpotomy or full pulpotomy indicated or would a pulp capping suffice? Is it a revascularization or an apexification treatment? What about regeneration? What materials should be used and how are they handled? Can it be done in a single visit and what is the prognosis of such cases?

At the end of this 2-hour presentation participants will be able to:

  1. List the clinical and radiographical criteria required to determine the appropriate therapy.
  2. Distinguish between vital pulp therapy and non-vital therapy.
  3. Describe the clinical steps and materials required to accomplish the appropriate treatment.

A variety of cases with clinical images and videos will be showed in order to better illustrate the various concepts.

Un maximum de 20 participants par cours. Dinner et boissons seront servis.
